Description & Services

Description Homework Club - free drop-in homework help for students grade 1-8 who need help with their homework and school assignments 
•high school students can acquire community service hours volunteering as tutors for the program 
•program runs during the school year twice a week 
 
After School Program (ASP) - for youth grade 6-8 
•program runs during school year 3 days per week Mon, Wed and Thu from 3pm-6pm 
•helps youth to improve their health and wellness by participation in physical activities (wide variety of sports and recreation), health food choices and nutrition education (free snacks), wellness and personal health education (special workshops and guest speakers) 
 
Educational and Employment Counseling Support - individual supportive and informal counselling services to help youth ages 12 to 25 manage personal relationships, set goals, and make self-identified life decisions. A safe space for youth to converse about personal and social issues including: bullying, family problems, education, and employment-related concerns. The YC is able to support youth in finding summer and part-time jobs, and/or volunteer work. Youth can get help preparing for job interviews, with resume/cover letter writing, and skills/career developments
Hours Office hours: Mon-Thu 8:30am-8pm * Fri 8:30am-5pm
Eligibility Homework Club: students in Grades 1-8 
After School Program: Youth in Grades 6-8
